About The Kittens
This pattern includes instructions for a cat sampler quilt featuring five different 8" x 10" patchwork cat blocks. All fabric is rotary cut and sewn together using conventional patchwork piecing. Please refer to the pattern back image for quilt sizes and materials requirements.

This pattern also includes a diagram and chart showing all of the pieces needed to make each block. You can use this as a reference while making the pattern projects, or as a guide for making individual blocks and scrappy projects.

The pattern also includes a full-size glasses pattern that you can use to make a raw-edge appliqué for one or more of your blocks.

Because of the larger size of the component pieces, The Kittens is one of my easier patterns.

2 colorful fat quarters (18” x 21” each) or assorted scraps.
3/4 yard light solid fabric for face details
1/4 yard dark solid fabric for eyes and noses
3 yards mid-tone solid background fabric
4-1/4 yards backing fabric
5/8 yard binding fabric
70” x 70” batting
Materials for Plain Cats
30 colorful fat eigths (9” x 21” each) for cat faces
3 yards background fabric
4-1/4 yards backing fabric
5/8 yard binding fabric
70” x 70” batting
Yardages are based on fabric at least 42" wide.
