This pattern has the directions to make your own drawstring stitching bag. This bag design was inspired by the Japanese rice bags, also called Komebukuro. They were traditionally made with scraps of fabric and stitched together with a drawstring closer. The stitching is Sashiko inspired. The pattern has 6 pages of easy-to-follow directions with diagrams and tips to make your own stitching bag. The pattern includes applique shapes and stitching suggestions. Use the colors I suggest or make it your own. Once you make one you will want to make more in different colors
